Five Restaurants Serving Thanksgiving Dinner This Year

The dining room here in Park Regency Loveland isn't the only place you can visit for a bite to eat this year. Several local restaurants are offering the chance to partake in your favorite treats. Even though these five restaurants are serving Thanksgiving dinner nationwide, it's best to call ahead and confirm the hours and menu of their local branch. This will prevent any uncomfortable surprises and ensure you can make the most of your time.

1. Cracker Barrel

For many years Cracker Barrel has stated that Thanksgiving is their busiest time of year, and to celebrate, they offer a special meal only available on Thanksgiving itself. You can dine-in or place an order to go for the turkey dinner beginning at 11AM. Ham is included in this classic-style dinner, and you can choose between corn muffins or buttermilk biscuits. You can also take your pick of a single side.

2. Golden Corral

Golden Corral has made a tradition out of being open on the holiday for years. While you can hit their buffet in person, you can also opt to place an order as early as November 12 for a pickup meal. This online menu includes meals that serve several people or singular holiday items, such as meat sold by the pound and sides. Classic mashed potatoes, gravy, yeast rolls and cornbread stuffing are among the choices, and you can pick out of several types of pie and cake for dessert.

3. IHOP

Ihop's 55+ menu makes it simple to watch your budget and waistline this year. Each potential order provides a detailed list of the calories contained in each dish. Though most offerings are breakfast items, there is a roasted turkey dinner with gravy and your choice of two sides, including real buttered corn, potato pancakes and hash browns. You can even add a side salad or two buttermilk pancakes to your order.

4. The Waffle House

While a restaurant known for breakfast items may seem unusual for the occasion at first, the Waffle House also serves common lunch and dinner options. Its regular menu doesn't feature much in the way of a traditional turkey day feast. However, there are plenty of dishes featuring biscuits, gravy and ham available. And it's open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, which makes it a perfect venue if you enjoy having a flexible dining schedule.

5. Applebee's

With most Applebee's locations open on the big day, the neighborhood bar and grill is a good choice if you are planning to dine with your family. Kid-friendly, it has a wide variety
